TALKEETNA, Alaska (Wireless Flash) -- Residents of Talkeetna, Alaska, won't mind if you drop by this weekend (Jul. 8-9) -- but make sure you watch your step. The town is hosting the 28th annual Moose Dropping Festival, and one of the highlights of the fecal festival is the Moose Dropping Toss Game, where children toss five pecan- sized moose turds at a painted bull's eye. The main event is the Moose Dropping Drop, where 500 painted and numbered moose turds will be dumped from a hot air balloon over a target. The person whose dropping lands closest to the target wins $1000. Don't look for this festival anywhere else in the United States, because town officials have copyrighted the name -- meaning no one else can "doodoo" it.
