PILGRIM DESCENDANTS TO TRACE ANCESTORS' SAILING ROUTE

DUXBURY, Mass. (Wireless Flash) -- What a difference a few hundred years makes. Case in point: a group of Pilgrim descendants are planning to recreate the final leg of their ancestors' cross-Atlantic trip. Next month the Alden Kindred of America will be making the 24-mile journey from Provincetown, Massachusetts, to Plymouth Rock aboard a modern tourist cruiser. Because of the souped-up transport method, the modern- day pilgrims will make the trip in just three hours instead of the 24 hours it took their ancestors. Spokesman Charles Coombs says some of the descendants plan to dress in pilgrim-style costumes -- but most will probably wear summer tourist duds.
