SEEDY BUSINESS AT CHERRY PIT SPITTING CONTEST

EAU CLAIRE, Mich. (Wireless Flash) -- Your mother may say it's rude to spit -- but that won't be the case at tomorrow's International Cherry Pit Spitting Contest in Eau Claire, Michigan. The contest is held each year at the Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm, and organizer Herb Teichman is predicting a "spit- tacular" family battle between the current record holder and his father. Brian Krause -- who spit a cherry pit 72 feet, 11 inches in 1998 -- will be facing off against his dad, Rick "Pellet Gun" Krause. Teichman says there's a good chance a new record will be set tomorrow because no wind is in the forecast, which makes it ideal for cherry pit spitting.
