12-YEAR-OLD COUNTRY SINGER'S TOOTH SIDELINED BY GOLF BALL

HOPPE VALLEY, R.I. (Wireless Flash) -- 12-year-old country singer Billy Gilman won't be singing his No. 1 hit, "One Voice," for at least a week thanks to a runaway golf ball. On Tuesday, Gilman lost his left front tooth after he was struck by a golf ball in his hometown of Hoppe Valley, Rhode Island. Although the tooth was reinserted by an orthodontist, the accident is taking a bite out of Gilman's schedule just as his song has hit the No. 1 spot on the country charts. An appearance on this morning's "Today Show" has been rescheduled and he will be off the road for at least a week. The only good news: Billy's dentist has prescribed a Popsicle therapy to ease the swelling.
