TRENDY LOW-CARB DIETS FIGHT OFF BRAINWASHING?

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Wireless Flash) -- Here's good news for conspiracy buffs: Americans are becoming less susceptible to brainwashing. Why? Low-carbohydrate diets. That's according to former Soviet military trainer Pavel Tsatsouline (sat-soo-leen), who's now an exercise guru in the U.S. Pavel says the KGB discovered that high-carb diets filled with bread, oatmeal and potatoes make people more open to brainwashing -- and the Soviets actually used the technique to break down their enemies. Americans are now switching from starchy diets to low- carbohydrate meal plans, so the fitness guru thinks the American public is now theoretically less easy to brainwash. Tsatsouline discusses other benefits of low-carb diets in the new book "Beyond Crunches" (Dragon Door).
