SCIENTIST CREATES `SUPER-HUMAN' VISION DEVICE

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Wireless Flash) -- Superman's X-ray vision may become a reality thanks to a new device that can give humans super-human sight. The so-called "adaptive optics" device developed by scientist David Williams reportedly improves eyesight even if you have 20/20 vision. The gizmo works with the help of a high-tech mirror which can allow you to see more clearly and at distances 50 percent farther than normal. Williams admits the experimental device is too big and bulky to wear while walking down the street right now -- but that should change in the future. He predicts optometrists will be able to use future versions of the machine to sculpt contact lenses or glasses that not only correct vision but make it even better than before.
