HARD ROCKER C.C. DE VILLE HAS SOFT SPOT FOR MOVIE MUSICALS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille may have a hard rock image -- but he's really just a softie who loves old-time movie musicals. DeVille admits he's always loved classic movie crooners like Maurice Chevalier and Nelson Eddy and he describes Gloria Swanson's Norma Desmond character in "Sunset Boulevard" as -- in his words -- "the love of my life." Movie musicals are inspiring DeVille's latest music as well: he claims the American Movie Classics cable channel inspired much of the music he's written for his new band, "Samantha 7," whose debut CD has just hit stores.
