GALACTIC GINZUS: MAN MAKES METEORITE KNIVES

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Wireless Flash) -- An aerospace engineer in Huntsville, Alabama, is on the cutting edge of silverware: He's making knives out of meteorites. 41-year-old Daniel Fronefield makes his "stellar steak knives" by sharpening 4.5 billion-year-old meteorites -- and some of the knives sell for more than $2000. Although the E.T. utensils are fully functional, Fronefield admits most of his customers consider the meteorite knives as pieces of art and aren't inclined to use them to slice up a pot roast. Fronefield also makes knives out of fossilized bear teeth, woolly mammoth tusks and even old dinosaur bones.
