MAN LEARNS SONGWRITING FROM PEBBLES AND BAMM-BAMM

AUSTIN, Tex. (Wireless Flash) -- What's it like to have your songs rejected by Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble? Just ask Texas-based songwriter Tommy Elkes, who once wrote songs for the "Pebbles And Bamm-Bamm" cartoon series in the 1970s. Although none of Elkes' stone age songs were ever used, he says at least the job taught him some great songwriting skills - - such as how to write in character. However, he admits he's still jealous of a fellow "Flintstones" songwriter who gets a $6 royalty check every six months. Elkes has just released a new CD, "Bohemia."
