TV GAME SHOW PRODUCERS TORMENTED CONTESTANTS WITH DOG FOOD

PULAU TIGA, Borneo (Wireless Flash) -- Talk about cruel and unusual punishment: The producers of the upcoming CBS series, "Survivor," actually tormented contestants with dog food. That's according to "TV Guide" reporter Mark Schwed, who recently visited the island of Pulau Tiga, Borneo, where "Survivor's" 16 contestants stayed for 39 days each hoping to win $1 million. "Survivor's" producers had no qualms about making contestants squirm, and one producer gleefully gave a can of dog food to one contestant who wolfed it down regardless. To be fair, the contestants were just as cruel. Schwed says he watched one contestant hug a teammate, vote to kick him off the island, and then hug the person again. "Survivor" will premiere May 31.
