PETER LUPUS TO BECOME `GRANDPA GLADIATOR'?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- The success of Russell Crowe's "Gladiator" movie is giving a lift to bodybuilder Peter Lupus, the strong man from the "Mission: Impossible" TV series. The 67-year-old actor says that as a result of "Gladiator's" boffo box office, offers have been pouring in from movie producers who want him to slip on his sandals and get back into the ring. Lupus says producers want him to play a "Grandpa Gladiator type" and he's more than ready. In fact, three years ago, he celebrated his 65th birthday by lifting 38 tons in 30 minutes. Although Lupus loved being a movie gladiator in the early 1960s, he says there were some downsides -- such as when the film crews tied him up and assumed he could break the rope with his bare hands. These days, Lupus is the CEO for the American Dream Network nutritional products company.
