TIME TRAVELING WOMAN: `ANCIENT ROMANS WERE BORING'

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. (Wireless Flash) -- Ancient Rome may have been a nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live there. That's according to a self-proclaimed time traveler, who claims she just returned from a visit to the year 218 B.C. to get an insider's look at Rome, the setting for the new film, "Gladiator." Time traveler Jenna Catherine says that if her visit was any indication, ancient Romans were, in her words, "bores." She claims every Roman she met seemed depressed and exhausted, especially the gladiators -- and none of them were hunks like Russell Crowe. Instead, she describes them as "pale, dumpy and bottom-heavy," while the audience seemed to be more interested in drinking wine, talking with their friends and performing an ancient version of "the wave."
