NOVELIST JUDITH KRANTZ: THE DR. RUTH OF ROMANCE NOVELS?

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Steamy novelist Judith Krantz admits she just might be the Dr. Ruth of romance novels. Krantz says a lot of young female fans tell her they first learned about sex by stealing her books from their mothers and reading the eye- popping sex scenes. Although she was stunned to learn that kids as young as 12 have been reading the saucy sex scenes, she doesn't feel guilty. Instead, she thinks her books make great instructional booklets because her heroines are strong women who never let men push them around -- either in or out of the sack. Krantz has just released her autobiography, "Sex and Shopping: Confessions of a Nice Jewish Girl" (St. Martin's Press).
