ICE CREAM CONE CRISIS NARROWLY AVERTED

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- And you thought the Gas Crisis was bad: It seems an expected ice cream cone shortage has been narrowly averted. "The Ice Cream Reporter" trade magazine reports that ice cream parlors across the U.S. had feared a summer ice cream cone shortage due to the recent bankruptcy of the Ace Baking Company, the main supplier of cones in the U.S. But the "Great Cone Crisis of 2000" has been averted by the Nabisco company, which has just announced it will increase production of its own line of ice cream cones to ensure a "reliable supply."
