AL CAPONE'S JAIL CELL TO BE OPENED TO PUBLIC

PHILADELPHIA (Wireless Flash) -- Crime is paying off for a Pennsylvania prison which is turning Al Capone's jail cell into a tourist attraction. Starting May 4, the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia will allow prison buffs to tour a restored version of the famous mobster's cell, complete with fancy paintings, oriental rugs and Art Deco furniture. Capone spent eight months of his life in the cell and reportedly found his accommodations "very comfortable" -- but one expert on prison design isn't so sure. Dr. Norman Johnston says he plans on sleeping in the cell on the night of May 4, and he fears Capone's cell is so cold and damp that all the antique furniture in the world won't make it comfy.
