MAN INVENTS HOME RUN-CATCHING BASEBALL CAP

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) -- Catch this: Baseball caps aren't just for your head -- now they're being used as gloves. A San Diego man has invented a baseball cap that doubles as a baseball glove when held by the visor. The ball-catching cap is called the "Game Hat" and contains a pocket in the back that pops up when a ball is caught in it. Although inventor Stan Boyd admits the hat probably won't be adopted by major league baseball, he says it's great for fans who want to catch a foul ball at the stadium without hauling along a bulky glove. He claims he's caught three foul balls so far with his new hat, as well as a 70 mile per hour fastball in a batting cage.
