LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- A member of the R & B singing group Jodeci is getting plenty of lip from fans who claim he's not the one singing on his hit single. Although Dalvin DeGrate is listed as the singer of the song "Why Can't We," there are rumors that his pal, singer Stevie J., is the real singer. Stevie admits he sang back-up on the track but he denies he's the lead singer: "I just came in and percolated on a verse, just like Dalvin did on my joint." DeGrate's debut CD, "Met.A.Mor.Phic," will be released April 18.
