IT'S YANKS VS. BRITS IN LAWN MOWER RACING'S `RIDER CUP'

GLENVIEW, Ill. (Wireless Flash) -- The British are coming yet again -- and this time they're riding lawn mowers instead of horses. A team of eight expert lawn mower racers from England are set to face off against eight Yankee counterparts this Saturday (Apr. 1) at a new event that's being dubbed the "Rider Cup." The trans-Atlantic competitors will mount riding lawn mowers and whiz around a grass-covered track at speeds up to 60 miles per hour. A spokesman for the American team says the two teams have a healthy rivalry -- but he fears the Brits may end up riding on the wrong side of the race track.
