KANSAS SONGWRITER: "DUST IN THE WIND' IS DEPRESSING'

TOPEKA, Kan. (Wireless Flash) -- Do you get depressed whenever you hear the Kansas song, "(All We Are Is) Dust In The Wind"? You're not alone. The writer of the song, Kansas keyboardist Kerry Livgren, admits it bums him out too. In his words: "It's depressing." Nevertheless, he says he's proud of the song, especially because it's been acknowledged by everyone from Sarah Brightman to Keanu Reeves, who quoted the lines to Socrates in "Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure." These days, Livgren has reunited with Kansas for the first time in 17 years and the group is currently recording a new CD tentatively titled "From Somewhere To Elsewhere."
