LOOK MA! NO COOTIES: DEVICE LOWERS TOILET SEAT FOR YOU

COOPERSBURG, Penn. (Wireless Flash) -- If the thought of touching a public toilet seat grosses you out, a new device may flip your lid. A Pennsylvania man has invented a plastic clip that attaches to the toilet seat so it can be lifted up or down without touching it. Inventor James Simonds came up with the idea for the device -- which he calls a "Hopper Popper" -- after his son nearly died from a staph infection he believes was transmitted by a public toilet seat. The Thomas Edison of Toilets hopes to have his loo-lifting device on the market by summertime at a cost of about $5. And that slams the lid on this story.
