KIDS INVENT WAYS TO MAKE VEGGIES MORE FUN

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Wireless Flash) -- Forget about building a better mousetrap. An 8 year old in Princeton, New Jersey, has come up with a better way to eat peas. Eight-year-old Jessica Delaney has invented a rolling pin that picks up loose peas and corn using a velcro-like substance. Her device is one of the finalists in a Veggie Eating Invention contest sponsored by Green Giant. Some of the other inventions include... -- A strap-like device that carries corn on the cob around your neck much like a pair of eyeglasses -- A "vegetable teepee" for hanging hot veggies until they cool. -- And corncob holders that resemble leather handlebars so kids can pretend they're bikers while eating dinner.
