LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- A make-believe serial killer has the sheriff's department in Orange County, California, working overtime. Locals are flooding the sheriff's switchboard with calls about "Ally Farson," a fantasy serial killer whose exploits are being detailed on a website known as AllyFarson.com. The website is a "Blair Witch" type affair, with a realistic but completely fabricated story. One actor on the site even works as a technician at the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Technician Robert O'Connor admits his bosses aren't too happy about his role in the internet project, and inspectors are trying to determine if his acting gig is "appropriate." An inspector with the sheriff's department says he "can't comment" on the Ally Farson matter.
