KEYBOARDIST ROGER WILLIAMS KNOWS 10,000 SONGS -- AND FAKES THE REST

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- After 45 years in the music industry, there are few songs keyboardist Roger Williams doesn't know. The 75-year-old Williams -- who hit No. 1 in 1955 with "Autumn Leaves" -- claims he can play 10,000 songs. In fact, when he's in concert, Williams has a routine where he takes audience requests and is rarely stumped -- unless he's asked to play something by The Sex Pistols. Sometimes he just fakes his way through a song such as the time he faked the "Theme To Star Wars" by "playing `Born Free' backwards." Williams' latest CD is titled "Pop Goes The Ivories" and a TV special with the same name is airing on PBS stations around the country.
