`LEAP DAY' TO CAUSE LEAP IN COMPUTER PROBLEMS?

SEMINOLE, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- February 29 could be a hard day on your hard drive. According to computer security expert Winn Schwartau, hackers often use "event days" like January 1, February 29 or April 1 to trigger computer viruses. Schwartau says February 29 could cause an increase in annoying computer bugs, but most virus-detecting software should discover any problems before they get out of hand. However, Virginia-based computer consultant Rick Barry claims many February 29 computer quirks won't be caused by viruses or hacking, but by unfixed Y2K problems.
