SCHULZ'S DEATH TO MAKE `PEANUTS' PRICES SOAR

MINNEAPOLIS (Wireless Flash) -- Good grief! "Peanuts" cartoonist Charles Schulz's death is causing memorabilia prices to soar. According to Michael Kronick, owner of the Startifacts memorabilia store in Minneapolis, cartoon collectors should expect to get more than peanuts for any Peanuts memorabilia. He says the big bucks will be made on Schulz's personal items, such as his drawing pens which could be worth as much as $10,000 and his drawing board which could sell for $70,000. Although the Schulz's death could mean big bucks for collectors, its a different story for other recently deceased celebs. Kronick says there will be no increases in value for memorabilia related to "Hey Vern" actor Jim Varney or magician Doug Henning.
