SAGA OF `CANINE CAJONES' COMES TO A CLOSE

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- A California man whose dream was to have an artificial dog testicle implanted in his body is finally getting his wish. The Food and Drug Administration had earlier nixed the man's plan to receive a so-called "Neuticles" canine implant, but he's just been OK'd to receive an experimental human testicular implant. 41-year-old Jim Webb -- who lost his left testicle two years ago -- says he's thrilled about the upcoming surgery. Webb will be part of a study group funded by the Mentor Corporation to seek FDA approval of its saline-filled testicle implants. He says he's now glad that he wasn't allowed to get a canine implant because he didn't want to go through life as what he calls "that dog nut guy."
