OSCAR WINS PREDICTED FOR SPACEY AND BENING

FAIRHAVEN, N.J. (Wireless Flash) -- Looks like Annette Bening and Kevin Spacey will walk away with Oscars this year. That's the prediction of New Jersey-based statistician Jay Bennett, who has developed a formula he claims can predict which actors will win Academy Awards. If a nominated actor appears in a Best Picture nominated film, the odds of winning increase -- unless they've already won a Best Actor or Best Actress award. In that case, it's a handicap. The chances of winning also increase the closer the actor is to age 43 -- which Bennett calls "the Magic Age." Using his system, 40-year-old Spacey has the best chances of winning because he appears in the Best Picture-nominated film American Beauty and he's never won a Best Actor award before. 41-year-old co-star Bening is the favored winner for Best Actress for the same reasons.
