SECRET TRICKS OF ROCK STAR PHOTOGRAPHERS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Taking pictures of rock stars isn't always a pretty picture but it helps if you know lots of dirty jokes. That's according to famed rock photographer Henry Diltz, who says most rock stars hate photo shoots so he often tells dirty jokes to lift their spirits. On a recent photo shoot for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Diltz says the musicians were stiff and unresponsive until he told them one dirty joke that was a real sizzler. When the musicians started giggling at the smutty humor, he got the perfect shot. But dirty jokes aren't the only trick to get good photos. When Diltz shot the cover of the Eagles' first album, he admits he and the band took massive amounts of hallucinogens the night before the shoot. Diltz is the subject of "California Rock: Under The Covers," a documentary that will air February 26 on The Learning Channel.
