PREACHER KEEPING VARNEY'S DOMAIN NAME FOR NEXT OF KIN

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Although comedian Jim Varney died yesterday (Feb. 10) of lung cancer, the internet domain name, JimVarney.com, will live on thanks to a preacher in Escondido, California. Pastor Clint Miller reserved the domain name, JimVarney.com, last summer after he discovered it was available. Miller -- who had known Varney for two years -- says he registered the name in 1999 to keep the comedian's name from being "name-napped." He says he will hold onto JimVarney.com until Varney's family comes forth to claim it. Although it's a generous act, Miller says he's pleased to do it because, in his words, "Where would us Christians be without "Ernest Saves Christmas?""
