ARTIST GETS A HAND FROM FAMOUS DEAD PAINTERS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Rembrandt died more than 300 years ago, but that hasn't stopped him from painting. A British-born artist named Anthony Christian claims the spirit of Rembrandt occasionally takes over his body while he's painting. He also claims he's the reincarnation of one of Leonardo da Vinci's former students and that the man behind the Mona Lisa has been his personal guide for years. Christian says he always knows when Rembrandt or Da Vinci wants to brush up on their art because he feels an "overwhelming presence" in his hand. He then adds his own touch by sneaking in naughty little pictures of folks engaging in kinky activities. The artist's latest work is a reproduction of a famous Jan Van Eyck oil painting that will debut at New York's Art Expo 2000 next month.
