LEIF GARRETT IS BACK

LEIF GARRETT IS BACK

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Former teen idol Leif Garrett hopes to turn over a new leaf that will jump start his musical comeback. Although Garrett was arrested for possession of cocaine and heroin last summer, these days he claims he's drug-free and is recording an album of new music inspired by Alice In Chains and the Stone Temple Pilots. The 38 year old will debut the new songs with his band, Godspeed, next week at the Las Vegas House Of Blues. Although some people wrongly believe the band's name refers to amphetamines, Garrett claims it has nothing to do with drugs and is just his way of wishing folks good luck. According to Leif, "I never liked speed. Heroin was my thing."
