HOTEL GUESTS DOGGED BY ALLERGY ATTACKS

BOSTON (Wireless Flash) -- Some dog days lie ahead for travelers with allergies -- literally. According to dog travel expert Wendy Ballard, more and more hotels are encouraging guests to bring along their dogs. Some hotels offer special dog food menus, dog massages and even consultations with doggie shrinks. But all this pampering of man's best friend could spell disaster for allergy sufferers. Boston-based allergist Dr. John Costa fears the new trend could result in rooms filled with allergy-causing dander that no amount of cleaning can remove. Costa says the solution may be as simple as specially- designated dog rooms, much like today's smoking and non-smoking hotel rooms.
