E-MAIL MASH NOTES ON THE RISE

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) -- A lot of Gen "Y-ers" are burning up the computer lines with steamy love notes, if a new survey is to be believed. The poll by AmericanGreetings.com reveals 50 percent of people aged 18-24 use e-mail to send love notes, while 37 percent use e-mail to flirt with the opposite sex. Other stats... -- 60 percent of folks would rather read their e-mail than their regular mail. -- More than a third of respondents would rather e-mail a friend than call him or her on the phone. -- And finally, not everyone is "e-xcited" about e-mail: 13 percent of folks think receiving an e-mail note from a beau the day after a date is "geeky."
