POKEMON GETS POKED BY SAFETY EXPERTS

WASHINGTON (Wireless Flash) -- The Pokemon gang is under attack again -- this time by safety experts. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is warning that latest trend of attaching plush Pokemon characters onto backpacks can be dangerous for children stepping out of school buses. It seems long chains attached to the toys can become snagged when the bus door closes. As a result, kids may be dragged, run over or otherwise injured when the bus pulls away. The administration admits no children have been killed in this manner, but the risk is great enough that parents should discourage kids from wearing the Pokemon toys on their backpacks. The problem is similar to a recent spell of accidents involving drawstring waistbands which were getting caught in school bus doors.
