MOST BIZARRE TEEN TRENDS OF 1999

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- 1999 was a strange year as far as teen trends go. That's according to Jane Mount of Bolt.com, a website that keeps track of the hottest fads with teenagers. She says 1999 was filled with all sorts of bizarre teen-age trends including wrapping duct tape around shoes, pant legs and backpacks. Also popular was wearing novelty contact lenses that replace your normal eye color with cat eyes or even mirrors. Other cool looks for teens this year included wearing headbands made out of brassiere straps, detachable sweatshirt hoods and zip-off pants.
