BEER DRINKERS PANIC OVER Y2K DRAUGHT DROUGHT

RALEIGH, N.C. (Wireless Flash) -- Beer lovers are the latest to jump on the Y2K panic bandwagon, if a new survey is any indication. A poll by Beer.com reveals nearly 75 percent of beer drinkers are stockpiling suds just in case there's a shortage come January 1. Almost half of the beer guzzlers surveyed believe they'll need to store at least two kegs of beer in order to survive a Y2K meltdown. The brewski lovers also claim they'd be willing to set up a "Beer Barter System" should the economy collapse, with 1.6 cans of beer exchangeable for a dozen eggs and 1.8 beers for a liter of milk. But all this sudsy panic may be in vain, according to beer expert Bob Klein. He claims there's no sign of any beer shortage in 2000 based on current supplies stocked by retailers.
