NEW TV COMMERCIAL DRIVING ENGINEERS NUTS

DENVER (Wireless Flash) -- A new TV commercial is driving engineers at television stations nuts. The spot for the Hollywood Stock Exchange website features a few seconds of "color bars," multicolored blocks that appear on screen during technical glitches. The bars recently caused an engineer at the NBC affiliate in Denver to panic and shut down the transmitter for almost half a minute before he realized it was part of a commercial. The incident doesn't settle well with KUSA-TV General Manager Roger Ogden, who says his station is upset about the commercial and doesn't want to air it again. Meanwhile, Hollywood Stock Exchange president David Herman claims there's nothing wrong with the commercial and says there are no plans to remove the color test bars.
