DOC'S NOSE NIPPED OFF BY PATIENT

MAIDSTONE, Kent, England (Wireless Flash) -- An English veterinarian is finding no "nose" is bad news after a four-legged patient bit off his schnozzola. Dr. John Thompson of the Mote Park Veterinary Surgery in Maidstone lost about an inch of his sniffer after an angry German shepherd chomped it off during a recent examination. Luckily, Dr. Thompson's staff was able to locate the ripped- off stump and rushed him to a surgeon who re-attached it. Although the nose is stitched back on, doctors still aren't sure whether Thompson's body will reject the re-attached hunk of flesh. But the grizzly incident hasn't kept the vet from work. Nurses at Thompson's office report he's been coming in to work even though he's supposed to be recuperating at home.
