'TIS THE SEASON FOR CHEATIN'

'TIS THE SEASON FOR CHEATIN'

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Mommy won't be the only person kissing Santa Claus this Christmas: Experts say more affairs take place during the holiday season than any other time of the year. Therapist Bonnie Eaker Weil believes the sharp rise in love affairs may be connected to the large amount of sugar and candy consumed over the holidays. Dr. Eaker Weil claims that sugar spikes hormone production and, when combined with the usual holiday bickering between couples, it becomes a recipe for extramarital romance. The "cheatin' season" is expected to be especially fierce this year thanks to extra partying at millennium celebrations and stresses caused by the Y2K changeover. There is hope, however. Eaker Weil says cheating is less likely to occur when couples spend time airing out problems and releasing pent-up tensions. Eaker Weil is the author of the new book "Make Up, Don't Break Up" (Adams Media Corporation).
