TECH EXPERTS MAKING STUPID EMPLOYEE DEMANDS

BOSTON (Wireless Flash) -- There may be a huge demand for trained technical workers these days, but some of their requested job perks don't exactly compute. According to David Weldon, editor of "Computerworld" magazine, many high-tech workers are trying to milk corporations with crazy requests. One highly-skilled software expert refused a job unless the company hired his unqualified buddy as well. Another company chose not to hire a highly-qualified techie because he insisted on being given more stock than the company founder. Some companies do give in to the greed by offering everything from BMWs to on-site tattoo artists, but Weldon says more corporations are learning to compromise. He says he knows of one company that refused to build a branch office closer to where its employees live, but agreed to provide an in-office chef to cook dinner every night.
