APPLE JUICE MAKES BABIES CRANKY

MIAMI (Wireless Flash) -- If you want to avoid having a cranky, smelly baby, don't give him or her apple juice before nap time. According to a new study by Miami Children's Hospital, babies who drink apple and pear juice get more cranky than babies who drink plain white grape juice. Even worse: they have more gas. Researchers for the study -- which happens to be partially sponsored by Welch's Grape Juice -- say an imbalance of glucose and fructose sugars in apple juice can be hard for infants to digest and make nap time a cranky experience. By comparison, babies who drink white grape juice before nap time suffer from less gas and restlessness.
