JOHNNY RIVERS RETURNS TO HIS ROOTS

JOHNNY RIVERS RETURNS TO HIS ROOTS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- `60s-era rocker Johnny Rivers hopes to prove it's possible to go home again. Next month, Rivers will be recording a new CD at the Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles, which is where he recorded his very first album, "Johnny Rivers Live At The Whisky." Rivers -- best known for the hit "Secret Agent Man" -- says he wants the new recording to bring him back to his simple rock and roll roots. Besides old hits like "Seventh Son" and "Memphis," Rivers hopes to perform an old Blind Faith tune and possibly one of the 20-or-so "half-finished songs' he's trying to finish. Rivers return to the Whisky will take place December 6-8.
