ORIGAMI CRANE TO BREAK WORLD RECORD

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash) -- If the Jolly Green Giant ever wanted to try origami, he'll get his chance next week. On November 10, a group of Seattle schoolchildren will attempt to construct the world's largest origami crane using 55,000 square feet of paper they've decorated with pictures and messages about peace. A spokesperson says engineers are drawing up blueprints for the massive 120-foot-tall paper bird which will have a 200-foot wing-span when completed inside the Seattle Kingdome. Representatives from the "Guinness Book of World Records" will be on hand to measure the paper crane to see if it beats the previous record set last year in Japan by a crane made out of 40,000 square feet of paper. The event's sponsor, the World Peace Project For Children, hopes the crane will encourage world peace.
