BABY-SITTER PRICE GOUGING PREDICTED FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE

IRVINGTON, N.Y. (Wireless Flash) -- Baby-sitters around the globe are set to make a lot of "Y2-Pay" this New's Year Eve. That's according to baby sitter expert Judith Lederman, who predicts the price for a baby-sitter will more than double on New Year's Eve night. Current prices average between $3.50 an hour for a 12-year- old to $15 an hour for an experienced 17-year-old -- but since many baby-sitters are planning on partying on New Year's Eve instead of changing diapers, Lederman says parents may be forced to offer baby-sitters special incentives like catered meals, gift certificates or even trips to the beauty salon. Pet sitters should also be rolling in dough on New Year's Eve. A spokesperson for Pet Sitters International says some sitters have been booked since July and are charging as much as $100 for the evening.
