BRITNEY SPEARS MAY LOSE VOICE IN TEN YEARS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- This won't be beautiful music to Britney Spears' ears but two singing experts in Los Angeles predict she'll sound horrible in a few years. Kevin Mitchell and Karen Surmani says Spears tends to sing in keys that are much lower than her natural range, and unless she changes her technique, she may end up sounding as gravelly as Harvey Fierstein. Another teeny-bop singer whose voice is at risk is LeAnn Rimes. Mitchell says kids who sing in front of crowds before their vocal cords are fully mature often end up with serious throat problems before they reach drinking age. The experts suggest that LeAnn and Britney learn how to rap, which, believe it or not, is a great way to learn proper breathing techniques. On the other hand, they admit some singers are just lucky -- such as Aerosmith's Steven Tyler. He's treated his voice terribly for 30 years but hasn't lost any of his range.
