ANIMAL ACTIVISTS SNAPPING OVER LOBSTER GAME

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- An arcade-style game that requires people to catch live lobsters with a large claw has animal activists snapping in protest. The so-called "Lobster Zone" game is similar to those arcade games where you use a crane to pick up a stuffed animal, and is currently being installed in many seafood restaurants around the United States. Hungry diners spend $2 a shot to play the game, and if they land a lobster with the claw, they get to eat it for no additional charge. The manufacturer of the Lobster Zone machines claims the game is no more dangerous to the crustaceans than traditional restaurant lobster tanks. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Animal Protection Institute claims the game makes light of a lobster's impending death, which is horrible because "...animal suffering is no game."
