`TAXI'S JEFF CONAWAY: `JIM CARREY PUT ME IN A TIME MACHINE'

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- "Taxi" star Jeff Conaway admits that filming the upcoming Andy Kaufman biography film, "Man In The Moon," was a taxing experience for him. Conaway and the other "Taxi" cast members play themselves in the new film, but he admits it was tough because his "Taxi" days weren't that happy for him in regards to his personal life. He says Jim Carrey's portrayal of Kaufman is so uncanny, he felt as if he were being transported in time to the late '70s. In one vivid scene, Conaway snapped and started reliving an argument he once had with Kaufman that ended in a brawl. After the scene was over, all was quiet on the set until Conaway convinced the director he was only acting. "Man In The Moon" will open Christmas Day and Conaway will be hosting a week-long "Taxi" marathon starting Monday (Nov. 1) on Nick At Nite.
