MAN CREATES CAMELS' MILK ICE CREAM

CENTRAL ARAVA, Israel (Wireless Flash) -- Elsie the Cow is being replaced by Cathy the Camel thanks to an Israeli researcher who's creating ice cream from camel's milk. Professor Reuven Yagil of Israel's Ben Gurion University Medical Center claims his camel's milk ice cream is creamier than regular ice cream but much lower in fat. According to Yagil, camel's milk is closer to human breast milk in composition, so the ice cream is naturally sweet and doesn't cause problems for folks allergic to cow's milk. Test batches of the camel's milk ice cream have been made in flavors ranging from chocolate to cherry, but the professor still needs to get his "camel creamery" up and running before he can start marketing the stuff. Unfortunately, dietary laws prevent the sale of camel's milk ice cream in Israel, so Yagil hopes to launch his unusual product in Europe.
