STREETWALKERS TRIED TO GET WORK ON NEW NICOLAS CAGE FLICK

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- It looks like everyone is trying to get a leg into showbiz these days -- including ladies of the evening. According to actor Nestor Serrano, who appears in the upcoming Nicolas Cage flick "Bringing Out the Dead," prostitutes were always wandering around the film's set looking for "work." Most of the filming for the flick took place at night in the seedy Hells' Kitchen area of New York City, where there are call girls galore. Serrano says some of the working girls even tried to sneak into the actors' trailers to proposition them. But hookers weren't the only seedy element actors had to deal with: Serrano says there were also a couple of burglars who broke into the set to steal a few "souvenirs." "Bringing Out the Dead" opens tomorrow (Oct. 22)
