HAIR EXPERT: ELIZABETH DOLE'S HAIRDO DID HER IN

PASADENA, Calif (Wireless Flash) -- Elizabeth Dole may cite money trouble as the reason she dropped out of the presidential race -- but a hairdresser in California thinks her haircut did her in. Celebrity hairdresser Art Padilla says Dole's "pasted down, plastic" hairstyle makes her look so much like a Washington insider that the average American is unable to relate to her. But the other candidates aren't much better in the hair department. Padilla says Al Gore's parted-on-the-side haircut makes him resemble a strict high school principal. -- George W. Bush's mane gives the impression he's a party animal who's had too much to drink. -- Bill Bradley's tousled cowlicks make him seem unsure of himself. -- Potential candidate Donald Trump's limp locks resemble a bad toupee and make him seem "dirty and underhanded." Padilla says the only candidate with a good hairdo is John McCain, who -- despite his male pattern baldness -- has a hairstyle that makes him look more "youthful" than the others.
